  • David Nichols, DDS, FICD - Chairman

    Dr. David Nichols is the founder of Tejas Missions and is a retired dentist who resides in Tyler, Texas. He has traveled to Belize over 60 times since 1977 as well as Guatemala, Korea, and Africa.

  • Barry Jones - President

    Barry Jones is the President of Tejas Missions and is a retired insurance executive from Tyler, Texas. He manages the daily operations of Tejas Missions and is the leader of our annual trip.

  • Jo Dobbs - Secretary/Treasurer

    Jo Dobbs is the secretary of Tejas Missions and organizes the licensure of our healthcare providers with the Ministry of Health in Belize. She is a commercial real estate agent in Tyler, Texas.

  • Michael Giesler, DDS, FAGD, FICD - Dental Director

    Dr. Giesler is a dentist in Atlanta, Texas and has two sons who are in practice with him.

  • William Moore, MD, FACEP - Medical Director

    Dr. Moore is a retired Emergency physician who resides in Tyler, Texas. He was the medical director of the UT Health EMS until his recent retirement. He has attended numerous trips to Southern Belize.

  • Tom Brown - Attorney

    Tom Brown serves as the attorney for Tejas Missions. He is very active in the Tyler community and serves on the board of multiple local non-profits. He attends Marvin United Methodist Church.

    Wade Barker is an oral & maxillofacial surgeon who practices in Tyler, Texas. He has been attending Tejas trips since he was a pre-dental student in 2007.
